My first publicly released game! (Not my first ever game) And my first time using RPG Maker MZ.

I originally wanted to make a short game based on an idea I had back when I was still messing with RPG Maker FES for the 3DS. I wanted to challenge myself to make a short game for public release.

I've since restricted access to the game on my itch.io, as I don't want people to associate me being complacent and/or "ok" with the content.

Basically, the game may imply possible CSA ((Nothing ever visually represented nor explained in detail)), as you play as a young girl inspecting her apartment, including her fathers' room.

⚠️!!!Spoilers for game story, ending and themes!!!⚠️

The unnamed young girl you control, is waiting for her father to come home from work. While exploring her apartment, she gains access to his room, which contains a garbage bin with old used tissue, and a bottle of lotion. It's later revealed that the father would apply lotion to his wifes' belly during her pregnancy.

Near the end of the game, we discover that the father has killed the mother, and was projecting her figure onto the daughter. He never actually does anything physical to the daughter, and while he does say something uncomfortable, ("Did you put on your lotion?" "You know what the neighbors will think.") it's because he hasn't realized that he's already killed the mother.



The daughter, confused and scared, tells him that "Mommy died a log time ago...", and ends up running out of the apartment after witnessing/experiencing a flashback about her mothers' murder.

The father gives chase, only for the daughter to slip and fall on the complexs' concrete steps, revealing that this is all a never-ending loop from the daughters' perspective. She's stuck re-experiencing her last moments alive, waiting for her father to come home, remembering her mothers' murder, running outside to end up dying herself.

I purposely intended for the game to be somewhat uncomfortable, though I meant for it moreso to be in a horror aspect: Home is supposed to be a sanctuary for you, especially as a child. I wanted to make a game that showed that a "home" can sometimes be the most terrifying place to be for some.

Without getting into it personally, I would say I've had trauma in my home life as a child, but maybe not in a way that would be considered CSA, though close people in my life have been victims of it.

I don't want people to think that I condone this horrible crime that adults commit, and so I've restricted access on my itch.io.

I am wholly, 100% against CSA, and the heinous adults who call themselves certain terms in regards to these actions.

I understand how this game could be seen as "edgy" for a take at "modern horror", since I use such a topic as it's core- but I never intended for it to be something to mock or make CSA survivors feel invalidated.
